The Island of Corregidor

so they made a movie about this island?
THE MAP
Island of Corregidor sounds interesting huh… It is an undersized and rocky island situated in the Philippines about 48 kilometers west of Manila which is strategically located at the entrance of Manila Bay. This island fortification stands as a commemorative for the bravery, courage, valor, and heroism of our fellow Filipinos as well as the American soldiers, who courageously seized their ground against the devastating number of invading Japanese forces during World War II.

Leaving the Manila Bay
It was past 6am when we left home; of to the Pier going to Corregidor, actually, it was just decided last night and hopefully we might try our luck to get to the cruise without an early schedule, and fortunately we when through and off aboard the Sun Cruises.

my brother & his wife
And so since my brother Papui & his wife Rochelle is in the country, we might as well explore what our great ancestors felt when they were being punished by the cruelty, gore and atrocious foreigners, the Japanese men, and of course little do they know that even Koreans played a huge role in the sufferings felt by our fellowmen.

I just had an awakening since I set foot in the Island of Corregidor, thus I wanted to share the photos taken thereto.  Enjoy!  And hopefully, you might as well, explore the island too.

These are the ruins left after the war...  I wonder how does it look like before.  This used to be the military quarters of the American soldiers.
